Michelle started her professional career as a lab manager and environmental consultant before pursuing her Masters in Public Health Environmental and Occupational Health at University of California, Berkeley.
After receiving her Masters she joined the energy company Chevron as a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Specialist. Through her fifteen years at Chevron, she has obtained her certification in industrial hygiene and held various positions within health, safety and environment from regulatory compliance, field safety, technical team supervisor, industrial hygiene consultant and manager. She is currently the Lead Health and Safety Advisor for a green electrolytic hydrogen plant in Utah.
Since 2016 she has been a member and lead of Chevron’s Safety, Fire and Health Functional Team, a team of company-wide experts who continuously train, research and respond to incidents throughout the world, and across all value chains from pipeline, refining, shipping, chemical plants, alternative energy, offshore and onshore drilling and production.
