Sarah Peaty leads the Coastal and Estuarine Assessment Team at the Environment Agency. With over three decades of experience, she has been pivotal in designing and implementing marine ecological surveys around England’s estuaries and coasts. Sarah has led on developing British and European water quality monitoring standards and early survey guidance under the Water Framework Directive. She serves as the Agency representative on the Premiam and as Deputy Chair of the Premiam Monitoring Coordination Cell and is dedicated to improving practices through lessons learned in each marine pollution event.
