Kevin specialises in consulting, training, and preparedness services for emergency management, oil spill response, incident command, and crisis management. With over 30 years of experience, he has played significant roles in the response to numerous incidents, including five of the top twenty oil tanker incidents worldwide, ranked by oil lost. Kevin has worked with major oil companies, UN agencies and regional organisations, delivering hundreds of training courses, exercises, national planning workshops, contingency plans and preparedness reviews across 36 countries.
Kevin advises governments and industry on enhancing preparedness and response strategies, significantly improving environmental and safety standards within the maritime, oil, and gas sectors. Recent projects in the Red Sea region include contributions to international support efforts by the UN and IMO for the FSO SAFER ship-to-ship transfer operation, the MV Rubymar and ASL Bauhinia incidents, alongside capacity-building initiatives for oil spill response, emergency management and maritime governance in Yemen.
