Andrew Kibble works for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in the Radiation, Chemicals, Climate and Environmental Hazards Directorate (RCCE) where he heads chemical and environmental team based in Cardiff. He has nearly 30 years’ experience providing strategic leadership and specialist advice in the field of environmental public health across local and national government, the NHS in England and Wales and within academia. Andrew has published widely on topics as diverse as air quality, contaminated land, chemical incidents, and chemical aspects of the International Health Regulations. He is the strategic lead on maritime pollution and for the last 12 years has worked on a number of EU research projects looking at the public health impact of spillages of oil and hazardous and noxious substances.
He is an Honorary Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health and a risk assessor for the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for the Public Health Management of Chemical Incidents.
