Marta Januszewska has over a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the New Markets and New Services Lead at Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) since 2024. In this new role, Marta focuses on identifying, developing and implementing new services and exploring new markets to expand OSRL’s preparedness and response business.
Marta's career at OSRL began in 2013 as a Business Development Executive, where she managed the production and delivery of proposals and represented OSRL at client meetings. She then advanced to the role of Senior Regional Representative in Europe and Caspian, acting as a crucial link between members in these regions and OSRL, assisting them in enhancing their preparedness for oil spill incidents. In 2019, she transitioned to OSRL’s Consultancy and Training department, developing Oil Spill Contingency Plans (OSCPs), capability reviews, and delivering Incident and Crisis Management exercises and courses globally.
Before joining OSRL, Marta worked as a Sales Support Engineer at Nortek BV in the Netherlands, where she was involved in sales and marketing activities related to oil spill detection and monitoring sensors. She also participated in a project to develop a new version of SeaDarQ software for improved oil spill detection.
Marta holds two Master's degrees: an MSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton, UK, and an MA in Political Science from the University of Szczecin, Poland. Her academic background includes research on the environmental impact of oil wells and the protection of the marine environment in international, EU, and Polish law.
In addition to her professional and academic achievements, Marta is a chair of the Plastic Working Group under OSRL’s SME Programme and serves as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Lead for OSRL.
