Travis started his professional career in the US government in 1992 as an Arabic interpreter. This included a 1996 position serving as liaison in the Sinai Peninsula as part of the on-going peace keeping mission there.
Travis joined ExxonMobil in 2004 holding various positions in the UK downstream as a retail territory manager, investment advisor in asset management and then as a manager in Payment, Loyalty and Digital group.
Since 2021 he has held the position of Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager with responsibilities for ensuring company readiness should a large incident occur. In this position he manages the 230-strong Regional Response Team for Europe Africa Middle East and Asia Pacific. This role spans ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Downstream and Chemicals operations, also providing internal consultancy and emergency response training for all business lines.
