Interspill 2025's Emerging Leaders Programme, sponsored by ISCO, recognises 6 professionals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the marine spill industry and made noteworthy achievements during the early part of their careers.

The programme will reward and shine a spotlight on these 6 individuals via an exclusive menu of Interspill 2025 opportunities. The selected Emerging Leaders themselves will then act as ongoing inspirations to others.

We invited applications for professionals who:

  • Are employed in the marine spill response industry, in any relevant organisation (Responders, Tech/Kit Manufacturers, Government, NGOs, Academia, Trade Associations etc).
  • Could demonstrate notable achievements and a consistently high performance, to date.
  • Could demonstrate a passion for the industry and a commitment to progressing their career in this field, for the long-term.

The 6 selected Emerging Leaders receive free full access to Interspill 2025, plus:

  • A welcome dinner on Sunday 6 April, hosted by the Emerging Leaders Programme Co-ordinator and Interspill Chair.
  • A daily event itinerary, preceded by a 9am briefing session by the Emerging Leaders Programme Co-ordinator, throughout Interspill 2025 week (7-10 April 2025).
  • The option to attend the Interspill Academy Short Courses on Monday 7 April, at no cost.
  • Reserved seating at the Opening Ceremony (8 April), where they will be formally introduced to conference delegates by the Interspill Chair.
  • The option to attend all Conference Sessions, the Premiam Conference, Science & Innovation Workshops and the Exhibition, daily.
  • The option to attend the ‘Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Lunch’ event on 9 April.
  • Lunch events on 8 and 10 April with a senior industry ‘Lunch Host’ and the Emerging Leaders Programme Co-ordinator.
  • Reserved seating at the Closing Ceremony (10 April), where each can ask a question of the Closing Ceremony Panel and conference delegates.
  • At the conclusion of Interspill 2025, the Emerging Leaders will each be allocated an ‘Industry Mentor’, who will host follow-up calls with them at 3 months and 6 months, post event.
