PREVENT / PREPARE / RESPOND / RESTORE

The Conference

Our internationally renowned Conference delivers three days of high-level discussion, debate and learning; essential viewing for all professionals involved in spill research, prevention, preparedness, response and restoration.

Global thought-leaders will address delegates, who represent international spill response companies, the private sector, governmental bodies and NGOs. Collaboratively, participants will focus on the most pressing challenges in the field. This convergence is grounded in robust science, practical innovation, diverse global research, and creative thinking.

Keynote plenary sessions will be complemented by three Conference streams, running concurrently throughout all three event open days. Conference delegates have access to all sessions, as well as the Exhibition, Supporting Programme and all networking platforms.

The Conference achieves unrivalled collaboration on cutting-edge themes and evolving challenges, assisting the industry to navigate increasingly complex waters and achieve innovative solutions.

Challenges include fluctuating oil prices, emission reduction, energy transition, emerging fuel technologies and vessel automation (leading to busier, more complex maritime operations).

We'll spotlight escalating concerns over pollutants like debris and plastics, as well as heightened spill risk prompted by oil production's shift towards mature basins (often with older infrastructure). Moreover, significant corporate restructuring has led to a loss of internal resources and expertise within many organisations.

The Conference showcases the importance of our industry's human element, drawing from case studies, diverse cultures, religions, and genders. In times of major incidents, it is vital that multinational teams can work together effectively, ensuring success and safety through seamless collaboration.
